Arezia MATTE ME - Light Brown REVIEW

4/18/2016 12:36:00 pm 9 Comments
I've come with yet another MATTE ME liquid lipstick from Arezia Cosmetics. You can check out the previous shade here.

PRICE: Rs.150-200 (prices may vary online)

Link to buy:

INGREDIENTS: Not mentioned :(

Packaging: Similar to Sleek's Matte Me. The lipstick comes in a transparent glass tube and the colour is visible through the tube. It has a dome-shape applicator which again is a plus point because you can easily apply it.
In the front space, the brand name and the word "Matte Me" is written. And the cap is matte black!
The back side of the tube usually has the bar code thing and the other details of the product.
The packaging was quite sleek. It is good for travelling.

The lipstick comes with a dome-shaped applicator. You don't need an extra lip liner, just a lipstick is enough. The lipstick is very matte. It takes a while like 5-10 mins to set and become fully matte. But when i becomes matte, it doesn't budge, doesn't smudge! To top with, this is waterproof! The lipstick is super pigmented and one stroke is enough.

This shade is my absolute favourite, it's my kind of MLBB shade. It is a browny-peachy kind of nude shade. It is a preferable dupe to Bobby Brown Creamy Matte lip colour in the shade Warm Nude. This is a Kylie Jenner type lip shade and the perfect nude shade for Fair to medium skin tone.

STAYING POWER: The staying power is good. It stayed for about 5 hours after then it starts chirping off from the middle of the lips.

in sunlight

with artificial light
I suck at taking picture. So please don't mind :)

  • The lipstick is super matte, so I recommend applying a lip balm underneath, to prevent drying of the lips.
  • You cannot simply wipe the lipstick by applying water, ITS WATERPROOF! So use a make-up remover or take a little quantity of  Vaseline in a cotton pad and use it as a make-up remover.

  • Affordable
  • Travel friendly.
  • Good pigmentation.
  • Nude Shade

  • No ingredients :(
  • Quite drying , if you don't wear a lip balm underneath.
  • Removing the lipstick from the lips can be quite a trouble.

Amway Attitude Sun Screen Cream SPF 30 | PA +++ Review

4/15/2016 09:58:00 pm 4 Comments
Few days ago, Amway just launched a newer version of Sun Screen Cream and one of their business owners sent me this sun screen for review.

DISCLAIMER: This product was given to me by on of their business owners. All words are mine, I wrote what I felt about the product.

A sun screen cream, lotion, etc. is a very important necessity (which we tend to over look ). It must be worn before going out in the sun.

PRICE: Rs. 449 for 100 g

Use enough sunscreen to generously coat all exposed skin that will not be covered  by clothing. Apply on dry skin 15 to 20 minutes prior to sun exposure. For best results reapply frequently.

PACKAGING: This sun screen cream comes in a bright yellow glossy tube having an orange coloured cap. The colour coordination reminds me of the sun. The cap is quite sturdy and the product is totally travel friendly.

The cream comes in only a 100 g tube.

CONSISTENCY: The cream is thick, but not very thick. It is white in colour with slight yellow hint.

MY VIEWS: After blending the cream, it turns into a semi-matte finish. It's doesn't look oily though.  The smell of the cream is quite soothing. It contains SPF 30 and PA+++. While buying a sun screen cream, we must not only check the SPF but also the PA ranking. PA refers to the amount of protection the sunscreen offers specifically against UVA rays. PA rankings are listed as PA+, PA++ or PA+++.

  • SPF stands for sun protection factor. The number associated with the SPF is the number of times longer that you will be protected from burning than you would be without sunscreen
  • UVB stands for Ultraviolet B rays. Ultraviolet B rays are often called the burning rays, because it is the most associated with sunburns.  These rays tend to damage the more superficial layers of the skin and are what most sunscreens historically claimed protection from.
  • For protection from premature aging however, it is important to pay attention to UVA or Ultraviolet A rays. These are long waves that are less intense than UVB rays, but more prevalent and can penetrate through clouds and glass (meaning if you work in an office with windows, you are still being exposed!). These rays reach the deeper dermal layers of skin and and can damage your skin's collagen and elastin causing premature aging, & wrinkling.
  • According to this product, SPF30 shields 97% of UVB rays. PA+++ shields UVA rays and provides sun protectiom by offering shield against harmful effects of both UVA ang UVB rays of the sun.
  • This sun screen cream should be re-applied after ever 3-4 hours.
The thing I don't like about this sun screen is that it contains different forms of Paraben. Paraben is any of a group of compounds used as preservatives in pharmaceutical and cosmetic products and in the food industry. Studies have now shown that parabens mimic the activity of the hormone oestrogen, which is associated with certain forms of breast cancerI even don't like it's price, it's a bit higher than other sunblocks available in India with similar functions.

  • Has PA+++
  • Dermatologicaly Tested
  • Contains SPF30
  • Shields both UVA & UVB rays of the sun

  • Contains different forms of Parabens.
  • The Price.

Essence I Love Stage Eyeshadow Base review

4/10/2016 11:15:00 am 6 Comments
For proper eyeshadow application, we always need a good eyeshadow base. An eyeshadow base or an eyeshadow primer makes sure that the pigments of the eyeshadow appear vividly. It makes the eyeshdow application swift.

Essence is a popular eyeshdow brand which is known all over the globe. Their quality of product is phenomenal for the prices they offer.

Rs.299 for 4ml or 0.13 Fl.oz

Eyes ready for the stage! The perfect eyeshadow primer to intensify any eye look, help eye shadows last longer and prevent creasing.

aqua (water), cyclopentasiloxane, cyclohexasiloxane, glycerin, isododecane, cetyl peg/ppg-10/1 dimethicone, methyl methacrylate crosspolymer, polymethylsilsesquioxane, mica, dimethicone crosspolymer, polyglyceryl-4 isostearate, sodium chloride, stearoyl inulin, cera alba (beeswax), dimethiconol, ethylhexylglycerin, trimethoxycaprylylsilane, triethoxycaprylylsilane, tin oxide, phenoxyethanol, ci 77491, ci 77492, ci 77499 (iron oxides), ci 77891 (titanium dioxide)

The packaging is quite sleek. It comes in a travel friendly tube with a doe-foot applicator. It makes the eyeshadow application an easy task.

The texture is very creamy. After blending, it turns into a matte finish.

This is my first eyeshadow primer so I might not be able to compare it with other eyeshadow primers available in market but I'm gonna list down the pros and cons from my experience :)

First of all, it comes only in one variant, i.e. in the shade "Nude", which may be a problem for the dark skinned beauties. But for the price it is offered, it is quite a good eyeshadow base.

It spreads very easily and turns into a matte finish. It has a slight orangy-peachy hue to it which helps in concealing the veins in the eye lid as well as any pigmentation. But soon after blending, it must be set with a nude eyeshadow, or it might crease.

It makes the colours of the eyeshadow pop, but not THAT much.A significant difference can be seen in the matte eyeshadows. It makes the matte eyeshadows pop. Below are the swatches:

The staying power is quite good. It stays for about 5-6 hours on my lids. My eyeshadow started fading after that. But it can wear off easily. Its NOT WATERPROFF!

  • Good value (only Rs.299)
  • Blends into a matte finish.
  • Stays upto 5-6 hours.
  • Sleek packaging
  • Helps in correcting pigmentation/ veins
  • Easy to apply

  • Availabe only in one shade.
  • Wears off easily
  • Creases, if not set with powder/ eyeshadow
